Mallory Beery earned her bachelors degree in Social Work from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and then her masters in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. She was born and raised in Oklahoma, where she completed all her higher education, internships and clinical training before journeying to Texas with her spouse as of late. Mallory is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who realized her passion for helping others while working for the Department of Human Services in Oklahoma during undergraduate studies. Mallory believes that through providing understanding, sensitivity, and empathy we all have the ability to cultivate happiness and healing. Before her work for ChangePoint began, Mallory worked in case management and clinical roles for residential treatment facilities, community mental health settings, and in public schools.
Mallory has worked with patients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues, family/relationship challenges, women's issues, self-image/self-esteem, life transitions, and complex trauma. She has also helped many people who have experienced difficulties due to grief and abuse. Much of her experience includes working with teens, children, parents, families, individual adults, and facilitating group work. Mallory utilizes various therapeutic interventions including CBT, family systems, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, compassion-focused, rational-emotive, and strengths based therapies.
